We are currently reseraching several exciting and controversial documentaries based around health and nutrition.
Back to Life is a 2009 documentary film in which soldiers from the United States that were disabled from severe injuries during the Iraq war experience an exhilirating 226 mile journey along the Colorado river, navigating the whitewater on motor-powered rafts and inflatable kayaks.
During the trip, each veteran was encouraged to use this experience to help them come to terms with their injuries and look ahead to a new life within a society that now looks upon them differently.
Produced and filmed by ikandi films, Back to Life is not a documentary that asks if these veterans should have been sent to war, instead it will focus on the personal consequences that each veteran now faces and how they are being helped to overcome them.
ikandi films Cornwall finished filming in late 2005 on a short documentary film following five recently disabled Iraqi veterans travel to Colorado to participate in a ski programme for the disabled. It's an inspirational film following young soldiers, severely injured during the war in Iraq, as they find freedom and adventure in the Rocky Mountains.

ikandi media, Cornwall have teamed up with Surfers Against Sewage to produce a 30 minute Documentary / Surf Movie outlining environmental problems on UK beaches and direct actions that we can take to help clean out beaches and waters.
The film, kindly supported by Quiksilver Initiative, was shot entirely on location in Scotland in October 2007. View From The Greenroom is the UK’s first environmental surf documentary. The film examines the pollution issues of today through the eyes of SAS campaigners. Under the watchful eye of director John Eldridge the film highlights some sick surfing before breaking off to reflect on the dangers our coastline faces from poor shipping practices, the unregulated discharge of toxic chemicals, conveyor belts of litter travelling up on the Gulf Stream and the future threats to surfing from climate change.
This documentary is true to the Surfers Against Sewage ethos of environmental protection using humour without losing focus on the environmental issues at the centre of the film.
