Band Of Horses - Cease to Begin

I am not religious, it's not really my thing... however, if... IF there is a heaven I personally feel that every living thing on Earth will be welcome. Except that is, for the entire human race.
Over the last few years vegetarianism has always been at the back of my mind, but the possibility of taking the step has always had to be a personal conscious decision for me, not just a 'oh, so and so is doing it and it works for them so I'll do it' sort of thing. After watching the harrowing documentary, Earthlings, I would like to declare my new found vegetarianism... well 99% vegetarianism. "Ninety nine percent?" I hear you say... Yup! The way I see it is that I will never eat meat again unless a) I have killed it with my own hands or b) I know exactly where the food has come from and the full process of how it has appeared before me... so I figure there is about a 1% chance of that happening. To be honest, right now, after watching the documentary a couple of days ago, I feel a little less ignorant but very ashamed to be part of the human race. And it doesn't stop there, it's not just a food thing... Google 'Earthlings' and watch the video... I hope you feel the same...
Unlike John, there will be no book review in my blog, although my sister did get me a Jamie Oliver cookbook for Christmas so I may give you a review of one of his recipes in the near future!!!... Along with pretty much half the country's population (or in the case of Padstow 95% of the population) I've well and truly started the new year with a huge bout of the WINTER LURGY!! Now with the aid of Antibiotics there's a light at the end of the tunnel and also some snow... because I'm off to Meribel for a week of boarding fun (and possibly a couple of French beers to keep me warm!!). We've started the year with a few projects that are now well and truly in the post production stages so before the next group of projects begin to take shape I'm going to get my Winter break out of my system and try not to break any important bones at the same time!!! I hope everyone had a great Festive Holiday... to all friend's and family and clients and anyone else who i may have missed out... Have a really good 2008. TL
